Bill is an attorney, business entrepreneur, former Ohio Assistant Attorney General; he was selected in 1983 as Ohio's Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Ohio State Bar Association; he's married to the Honorable Penelope H. Cunningham (Judge in the Ohio Court of Appeals).

(Kabul) -- Seven people are dead following a cargo plane crash near the Afghan capital city of Kabul. The U.S.-run plane went down shortly after takeoff today from the Bagram air base. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the crash, but NATO officials say there are no reports of insurgent activity in the area. There's no word yet on the nationalities of the seven victims.
On Saturday, four U.S. service members were killed when their surveillance aircraft went down in southern Afghanistan. Officials cited bad weather as the cause of that crash.
(Green Township, OH) --The campus of LaSalle High School on North Bend was locked down this morning after reports of a shooting. Police responded to the scene shortly after 9 on news that there was a single gunshot and a person down.
As Newsradio 700WLW first reported, a student atempted suicide in class during first bell. The student has not been identified and is at University Hospital. No other students were injured and no one else was threatened with harm during this incident.
This is the second tragedy to rock the LaSalle campus this year connected to gun violence. In February, a student was shot and killed in a drug deal that went bad. There is a great deal of speculation that this suicide attempt and the murder of Justin Brown may be connected but no confirmation yet from the school.
